women_in_kidney_stones_pain.jpgIt was several years ago, after the birth of my third child. I woke up on Friday morning with certain gentleness cramps on my left side. One of my mom’s daycares said maybe I was ovulating. But I tried to stick it out perhaps I think that drew a muscle or something. As the day progressed, the pain worsened in that nagging, shooting, stabbing pain in my side. I was on the floor, rolling around and crying. At that time, my husband runs me to the clinic without making any appointment.

The doctor at the clinics said “It’s just a kidney stones,” he gave me a basket and told me to go home, take Tylenol and get rest. So I thought I just over-reacted and went home. I had my last Vicodin c-section and took it and “survive” until Monday. I have not been to the ER, I thought that the doctor knew what he was talking about and they would say the same thing at the ER.

Monday morning, I could not hold the pain any longer, I went back to the clinic and they made me wait more than an hour, literally rolling on the floor. Finally, I went to my regular doctor, which did not have an appointment available before. I was quite frightening because they took me right away and gave me a shot to kill the pain, which did not even help anyway.

They scanning my kidney with ultra sound and find out that the left kidney was completely blocked with pea-sized kidney stones. They have admitted me to the hospital where I took kidney stone surgical to remove my kidney stones and it went successful. I have learnt my lesson, don’t let any doctor ignored you by telling that you are over-reacted or tells the problem isn’t that serious. No matter how busy they are. It is our life in our hands, fight for it until the last teeth’s!
