This book has mixed reviews and gave me a chance on it, but it should have. Frankly, it's something the average person who knows the rudiments of a power failure could muster. $ 20 is a high price for this slim paperback.

I am so grateful that I did not buy the $ 73 edition. I was not impressed by the scarcity of recipes – many of whom seemed to be lifted from Betty Crocker 1964 – honestly – Cucumber Dill DIP strawberry tart topped with Cool Whip? However, information about calories, potassium phospate was informative, but could not find on any website linked to chronic kidney disease. Overall, disappointing. The charges – napkin folding and fast solutions are designed to add pages and were completely useless. I will not even my nephrologist for fear of being mocked by his office.

Twenty dollars seemed a bit heavy for the modest collection of household income of almost a fact-value production. However, what there is good value for those interested in this very narrow niche of specialty cookbooks.

I have this for my wife who has CKD. At first I was disappointed with how small and thin it is, and generally regarded as an amateur effort designed to make money on the side of someone. So for me it's not worth the price, and my wife also material about ERC pensé.Le generally not that hard to find, if not buy the book for that. The nephrologist was sent to a nutritionist who has covered the basic dietary advice quite well. If you were not so well informed maybe this is a good material lecture.Puis began to see revenue. They seem kindof bland and boring, and no photos. You could probably cook most of these things without prescription tous.Je're cooking several recipes from this book regularly in place: the new glucose revolution low GI vegetarian cookbook: 80 Delicious Recipes Vegetarian and Vegan made easy with the index glycémiqueque recommend. Vegetarian, organic, low GI foods is good for everyone, and also for CKD (have less to eliminate toxins). Some of the techniques, ingredients and flavors recommends this book are a bit more on the exotic to the typical American, so it will remain interesting for a few years, I think. Therefore, it is possible to survive on a vegetarian diet (at least in part) without losing their old habits as well. Just watch for the little-known vegetables (rich in potassium and phosphorus), and proteins, if your chronic kidney disease is advanced step that you need to reduce it.

It is clear from reading the introduction to the tasting of the kidney that the author has extensive experience in counseling people with kidney disease. It requires a complex diet and explains in an easy to read and so personable. Feel like you talk to the staff dietitian. The recipes are simple and delicious. I especially like the Greek-style Shrimp Scampi. As a dietitian I think it is a dietary guide and cookbook of great value for people with kidney disease not on dialysis.
