We offer programs to help people function more successfully at home, on the job and in the community. All programs and services are focused on improving a patient’s quality of life and helping patients return to independent living. During the year ending June 30, 2012, 8 patients participated in the Spinal Cord Program. Seven of those patients were projected to make functional gains and and all achieced that goal. Two patients desiring to pursue employment began attending school by the time of their discharge.
People treated by our outpatient therapy services receive expertise in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of conditions such as:
- Amputation
- Brain injury
- Headaches
- Lymphedema
- Musculoskeletal dysfunction
- Neck or back pain
- Orthopaedic conditions (joint replacements, injuries, etc.)
- Osteoporosis
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Spinal cord injury
- Stroke
- Vestibular (dizziness) disorders
Specialty services also are available, including:
- Aquatic therapy
- Driver evaluation and training
- Functional capacity evaluations
- Hand therapy
- Neuropsychologic evaluations
- Rehabilitation counseling
- Speech disorders
- Vocational rehabilitation
